Lakshmi Puja samagri checklist
For the puja setup
- Idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha
- Wooden chowki (low stool) and a red or yellow cloth
- Kalash or lota filled with water, with mango leaves and a coconut
- Puja thali (brass, copper or steel) or an aarti thali set
- Small bell
For the rituals
- Roli or kumkum, haldi (turmeric) and akshat (unbroken rice), kept in a kumkum box
- Kalawa or mauli (sacred red thread)
- Paan leaves, supari (betel nut) and a few coins
- Flowers and garlands, especially lotus and marigold
- Incense sticks, dhoop and camphor (kapoor)
- Ghee or oil, cotton wicks and diyas
For the offering (bhog)
- Kheel and batashe
- Sweets such as laddoo or kheer
